The New York Rangers have already filled the void left behind by Cam Talbot. They acquired Antti Raanta from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forward Ryan Haggerty. After the excellent play of Scott Darling, the Blackhawks did not need the extra goaltender on the roster.
According to nhl.com, Ducks GM Bob Murray said, "John Gibson is not getting traded."
